Sharon Fehrenbacher, Chief, Human Resources & Administration

 

Sharon, who is a graduate of Baker University's School of Graduate and Professional Studies with a degree in Business Administration,  is currently serving as the Director of both Emergency Aid and the Payee Program at Breakthrough House, Inc., a crisis prevention company.  Breakthrough House, Inc. is a non-profit organization designed to prevent individuals with persistent mental illness from going into financial crisis and provides daily contact through a clubhouse.  Specialty services include emergency aid for rent, utilities, medication, and food.  The Payee Program provides financial consulting and assistance for 100 or more clients.  Breakthrough House is affiliated with United Way and Valeo Behavioral Health, Inc.

 

Before accepting her current position, Sharon has served in  numerous positions, such as the Executive Director for Briarcliff, a residential facility.  During her five years with Briarcliff, the facility saw a cliental occupancy growth from 33% to 100%.  Sharon managed all human resources, marketing and sales, developed annual budgets, and maintained professional partnerships with local agencies.  During her tenure with Briarcliff, staff retention exceeding one year tripled.

 

Sharon's varied experience includes a management position in human resources and marketing with the security company, Capitol City, and she has been the owner of a farming business for over 18 years.
